Fraize and Associates students have the potential to stick out in a crowd...

F&A students enrolling directly from treatment have great potential for leadership. They are engaged, introspective and eager to maintain their forward momentum. Their energy and optimism can be a positive influence on the culture of your school community. They have identified their challenges and have a plan as well as a backup contingency plan in place moving forward.

F&A establishes a team which supports the student, family and school during the critical time of transition, while still preserving as much autonomy as possible for the student. F&A supports students directly through discreet visits to campus and private calls, texts and videoconferencing. F&A will meet with and stay connected to the student's campus support team through the same mediums.

They have a plan... and an advantage.

F&A students arrive on your campus with sophisticated clinical information, a treatment plan in place, and an immediate back up contingency plan prepared by the educational consultant and F&A. In addition they have:
  • Recent testing and assessment- and a new awareness of learning differences, ASD's, anxiety, mood and substance abuse disorders and other DSM 5 diagnoses
  • Been through a comprehensive application process with F&A and have a treatment plan in place
  • Been active and engaged in family counseling and coaching- lines of communication are open- parents are aware of issues
  • A student and family commitment to continued counseling and coaching and strong desire to attend your school
  • Recent evaluation of psychotropic medication efficacy
  • An understanding of consequence for action- there is an immediate plan "b" in place if not successful at your school
  • Incorporated treatment discharge planning through F&A with the student, family and Educational Consultant

Onward supports your staff and community prior to enrollment.

Prior to enrollment, F&A arranges an initial in-person meeting with the student and family. On or around the day of enrollment, F&A visits the school and meets with the school contact and the student to establish relationships and develop treatment goals and objectives. Once enrolled, F&A provides weekly individual and family counseling and coaching via phone or videoconferencing. F&A works with faculty and staff from both the student's former program and the new school to form a collaborative team. This team supports the transition while still preserving as much autonomy as possible for the student. Quarterly in person visits to the school to meet with the student and school staff provide an additional element of communication, support and accountability. Weekly scheduled phone and videoconference sessions keep parents and the educations consultant connected.

F&A specializes in and has proven clinical success with boarding schools and colleges.

We employ a strengths-based, family centered and treatment team approach in guiding the transition from a highly structured to the socially rich environment of a boarding school.  Honoring and building upon the strengths and solutions identified in past treatment experiences, F&A works to design individualized, continued support plans that help students transition their success forward in their lives. F&A works closely with the student, family, educational consultant and the boarding school to help support and guide all parties during the critical period of transition. Based mainly in the northeast, Darrell and Andy meet with the family, student and school staff in person on or around the day of enrollment to establish  face to face relationships.  After enrollment, he meets periodically with the student and staff member in person at the boarding school. Quarterly in person visits to the school to meet with the student and school staff provide an additional element of communication, support and accountability.  Weekly scheduled phone and videoconference sessions keep everyone connected.

For successful transitional support in high school or college, F&A keeps everyone connected...
